Who should Brock Lesnar feud with when he returns?
At Wrestlemania 29, Brock Lesnar lost his rematch against Triple H. This was not a shocking results, thinking about the fact that HHH's career was on the line. Lesnar and Heyman had the opportunity to pick the match-stipulations if Triple H say'd yes to their challenge. They picked a "no holds barred" match with a added stipulation that say'd if Triple H lost, he had to retire. This was a bad move by the WWE, because everyone knows HHH will compete at next years celebration Wrestlemania 30. Their match was great though, even though Lesnar lost a lot of credibility and momentum because of the fact that he lost the match. Seriously, who would ever buy it that a 43-years old part-timer could possibly defeat a monster like Lesnar? This was a bad booking decision by the WWE (Triple H's ego strikes again?).
So when Lesnar returns again, who could he possibly face to get back his momentum again? Here are some suggestions for you:
1) Sheamus
WWE has many great powerhouses. Antonio Cesaro, Ryback, Mark Henry, John Cena and Big E Langston are some of them. The last couple of years WWE has billed Sheamus as a new babyface powerhouse. He showed his true strength at Hell In Cell 2012, when he lifted Big Show like a feather and hit his signature move "White Noise". But Sheamus is not like the other powerhouses in the WWE. Both as a heel and a face Sheamus has been known for one thing. He is a pure brawler, who doesn't back out from a fight. He did this as a heel, and his brawling skills made him the face he is today. In 2011 Mark Henry was on a rampage, taking out everyone on his path. Then came Sheamus, and said those mighty words: "You wanna fight fella?" This was the start of his famous "babyface" turn, which eventually resulted in a Royal Rumble victory, and the WHC-title in record-setting 18-seconds at Wrestlemania 28. Sheamus fought his way to the top, which means he would be the perfect opponent for Lesnar. Think about it. Lesnar and Sheamus brawling it out on the main-event of Summerslam. This is truly a fight that even Lesnar could lose. Sheamus is one of those few guys who actually looks credible enough to step in the ring with Lesnar. Sheamus could also lose this match without losing much credibility, because he is already an established top-star in the WWE.
2) Ryback
Ryback is also one of those few stars in the locker room who can step up against Lesnar. If Ryback indeed is turning heel in his ongoing feud with John Cena, this match probably will not happen anytime soon. Ryback and Lesnar would be everything Lesnar vs Goldberg was supposed to be like. Unlike Goldberg, Ryback has a passion and love for this business, which means every time he enters the ring he will give 110% for the company. This would have been a dream-match without a doubt in my mind!
3) Cm Punk
If you look at it in a "wrestling/promoting" point of view, Cm Punk is the only "little-guy" on the roster who has ever managed to beat the odds against big men like Cena, Undertaker, Ryback, Kane, Big Show and so on. This man is a magician both on the mic and in the ring. If he would step in the ring with Brock Lesnar, this would have been a epic showdown! Punk looked equally as strong as The Undertaker in their historic battle at Wrestlemania 29, and previously in his career Punk has proven us the fans that he can step in the ring with pretty much everyone. During his title-run he defeated Mark Henry, Big Show, Ryback, Kane and John Cena, which are all men big powerhouses in the WWE.
The only way Punk and Lesnar would face each other would have been if Punk did another face-turn, and turned his back on Paul Heyman. Lesnar and Punk would have been a match that pretty much the whole WWE-universe would have loved to see!
4) The Shield
If WWE wants to do a face-turn with Brock Lesnar (Most likely not), The Shield would have been a great solution to make it happen. Nobody has managed to overcome The Shield so far, so what better way to end them by letting Lesnar fight them? He is one of few guys who could actually stand a chance as a solo competitor in feud with The "mighty" Shield. Though this is just wishful thinking from my side..
5) The Rock
This match will happen at one point. Most likely these two will headline Wrestlemania 30. I am not a fan of the fact that two part-timers will face each other in the main-event, but this match will break all records, which means most likely it will headline Wrestlemania 30. The plan was to start this feud this Monday on Raw, but when Rock got injured, they had to cancel the planned angel with these two. I have no problem with the fact that Lesnar and Rock will face each other at Wrestlemania next year, but I am not a big fan of the fact that they will headline the show.
