WWE-fanbase covers every televised WWE-show. Here is a recap of the last episode of Smackdown, including superstars such as Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger, Triple H, Fandango, Team Hell No and Alberto Del Rio. Here you have a summary:
1) Dolph Ziggler opens the show with a celebration-promo
Dolph Ziggler opens Smackdown with a heel-promo, where he talks trash to the WWE-universe. "I know you think that this Monday you where a part of my historic night, but this moment only belongs to one man. That man is Dolph Ziggler." Ziggler first gets interrupted by former WHC-contender Jack Swagger. Swagger and Zeb tells Ziggler that they want another title-shot, because Swagger deserves it. Swagger leaves, and out comes Del Rio. Del Rio announces that when his ankle heels, he will win back the WHC-title again. Ziggler gets pissed of, and says that the next man who interferes his moment will indeed see why he is the WHC-champion. Then out comes Chris Jericho (Y2J), who tells Ziggler that he will face Ziggler in his first match as WHC-champion.
It seams like this angle might be the start of a possible fatal-four way match that might happen at WWE Extreme Rules 2013. But Jericho is feuding with Fandango, so I guess it might be a triple treat match. Only time will show!
2) Team Hell No vs Prime Time Players
A short match with Team Hell No and Prime Time Players. Daniel Bryan makes Titus O'Neal tap out to the No/Yes-lock. After the match The Shield interfere with a short video-taped promo.
Most likely this feud will end with a tag-team title match at Extreme Rules. This might be Team Hell No's last match before they split up.
3) Wade Barrett vs Santino Marella
Another short match. Santino did a couple of comedy-angles during the match, which was kind of funny. Barrett gets the wins by the "bull hammer", which helps him building momentum.
Santino should do a character change if he wants something out of his career within WWE. Expect Barrett to continue his feud with Miz the next couple of weeks.
4) The Bellas and Tamina vs Kaitlyn and The Funkadactyls
A short divas tag-team match. The Bellas and Tamina takes the win. One of them should get a push if you ask me. The divas division must be taken more seriously WWE. No more to mention!
5) Triple H cuts a promo
Before Triple H officially starts his promo, 3MB comes out and surrounds the ring. Before they manage to attack Triple H, The shield interferes and takes out 3MB. Then The Shield are about to take out boss, before Team Hell No comes out and evens the odds. The Shield retreats before anything happens.
This just confirms that Team Hell No and The Shield eventually will look their horns. Most likely this will be Team Hell No's last match before they split up, and continues their single-careers.
6) Sheamus and Randy Orton vs Big Show (2 on 1 handicap match)
Booker T books a handicap match with Orton and Sheamus vs Big Show. Great match, a lot of back and forth action. It ends with an RKO from Orton, followed up with a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Big show rolls out of the ring and loses by count out. After the match in a backstage segment, Mark Henry attacks Sheamus. This seams to be the renewal of their feud. Most likely Orton will continue to feud with Big Show for a while. Great match and segment.
7) Main Event Dolph Ziggler (with AJ Lee and Big E) vs Chris Jericho
Another good match between Jericho and Ziggler. After a lot of back and forth action, the number games takes out Jericho. First Big E hits Jericho, and then Ziggler pins Y2J by a roll-up. After the match Jericho manages to hold of both Fandango and Big E, but Ziggler hits a Zig Zag on him, and then Big E takes him out. Fandango ends it with a diving leg-drop. Once again Fandango comes out on top in this feud.
I think this match was a sign that Jericho will continue his feud with Fandango, while Ziggler has to worry about Swagger and Del Rio, while we are heading in to Extreme Rules.
Summary
Overall a good show. More entertaining that I had expected it to be. But I think WWE should do something to refresh their brands. They should split the brands again, making it more special to watch a show if you ask me.
This show we got to see developments of new feuds such as Henry vs Sheamus and The Shield vs Team Hell No, while others seams to continue old rivalries while we head towards Extreme Rules.
