The summers in WWE is considered to be just as important as Wrestlemania-time now a days. The second biggest PPV within WWE is Summerslam, which always ends the summer storylines at the end of August each year. This year WWE has gone all in for the summer. They have started a feud with Cm Punk vs Brock Lesnar, and they have also signed Rob Van Dam. But another hot topic lately has been Daniel Bryan. As mentioned in an article on this page a couple of weeks ago, officials have huge plans for Bryan this summer.
It seams like a sure lock that Bryan will face John Cena for the title at Summerslam. But not only is he going to be involved in a feud against the companies top-dog, it also seams like he will end up with the WWE-title to. If it happens at Summerslam is though to say, but apparently there are a lot of officials backstage that are pushing for Bryan to win against Cena at Summerslam.
Cm Punk got his deserved push the exact same way only two years ago. He is now considered to be the second biggest guy within WWE, only behind Cena.
There are many people backstage that believes Bryan has what it takes to take over the "top-dog" spot from Cena. But the only way he would be able to do that is by getting a clean win over the champion.
Hopefully WWE doesn't find out that they will turn Bryan heel again, just like they have done with a lot of Cena's opponents lately. Bryan is best as a face, particularly because he has one of the biggest "fan-bases" behind him to. A Bryan heel turn will not be good for the company, because a majority of the fans will cheer for him even though he is supposed to be the "bad guy".
If Vince believes in Bryan, you can expect this summer to be remember for many years. Will Daniel Bryan be the next number one guy within WWE? I'l guess we will have to wait until Summerslam to find out.
WWE seams to be on fire now a days, which is good for business and for us fans!
