Talking about the debut of the Wyatt family

It finally happened this past Monday on Raw. The long waited debut of the Wyatt family. I thought I would write abit about what I thought about their debut and then you can all leave us a comment or tweet us and let us know what you thought of it. 1. Their entrents. This I thought was really awesome, It was so different and I never saw an entrents like that before in the WWE or in any wrestling company. I also thought it was pretty cool how the light kept going back and forth between Luke Harper and Erick Rowan faces. I thought it was really cool. 2. The attack on Kane. At first I didn't like the idea of the Wyatts attacking Kane because that has already been done with the Shield over and over again. I wanted to see something different for the Wyatts but this was put together really good I thought. I liked the way Bray just sat there in the rockingchair while the other two went and destrode Kane. 3. What I thought about the hole debut. I am a big fan of Bray Wyatt and from what I saw on NXT from Erick Rowan and Luke Harper they are a pretty good tag teambut I did expect a longer debut like for an example, I thought they would have came out to the ring, beat someone up like what they did to Kane and then I wanted to see Bray Wyatt kut a promo. I thought it was a good debut though because a lot of wrestling fans like me were left wanting to see more from the Wyatt family. I really hope WWE does something good with these three guys because I don't want to keep seeing three on one or two on one beat downs like the Shield did for awile. Is Sheamus becoming to stale?

Sheamus used to be one of my favorite wrestlers, especially when he first came to the WWE and put John Cena through a table to become the first ever Irish born WWE champion. I have been watching a lot of his matches lately the past few weeks when he was wrestling Cody Rhodes and Damian Sandow, and I started to think "wow Sheamus is boring now". His match on Raw last night against Daniel Brian was still the same old moves and he is getting really boring. I think that WWE should really make him do some kind of a different gimmick or something because he used to be one of the top stars in WWE and now a lot of wrestling fans I have talked with, says basically the same thing I am writing about. "Same old shit" I would suggest a heel turn but I don't think that would be the right move, because I think there is more guys that really need to go heel before Sheamus does. Stars like Randy Orton, Kane and so on. I think maybe the right thing that WWE should do with Sheamus is to make him more serious and not "comedic". He could still be a face but just be a bit more serious and vicious in side the ring. He showed his best side as a face during his feud with Big Show at the end of last year! Sheamus was really impressing then and got the fans behind him, even though he lost three matches against Show (two clean losses). Tell us by leaving a comment or tweeting us if you think Sheamus is getting stale and if would like to see him do some kind of a change to his character. Curtis Axel speaks in an interview!

- WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel recently spoke withNorfolkNavyFlagship.com to promote the upcoming WWE live event in Norfolk. Here are some highlights:
JM: How does it feel to be one half of the first ever father/son pairing to win the Intercontinental Championship?
CA: Leading up to that whole pay-per-view, the whole week before, the thoughts going through my head were, “What was going to happen if I were to win? What was I going to be thinking?” My grandfather (Larry “The Axe” Hennig”), I talked to him about it. When I finally won at Payback, man – I just couldn’t stop thinking about my dad (“Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig). Holding that same Intercontinental Championship that he held. He would bring (it) home and I would hold it and wear it as a kid. I now possess this thing. I had goose bumps and was pretty emotional. My grandfather and mother were emotional about the whole thing, too. (My father and I) never got to stand in the same ring as each other, but now I feel honored that I get to stand in the record books with him.
JM: As “Michael McGillicutty,” your heritage wasn’t a major focus. Now that you’ve become “Curtis Axel,” does this allow you to become more of yourself and tap into a different side of your character?
CA: At first, they (WWE) didn’t want to bring up where I came from – which they have totally 180’d on. If I incorporate moves that my father and grandfather did, it’s to pay homage to them – to my family. Family is number one and will always be number one to me. Even as Michael McGillicutty – I still wrestled as myself. I think it was a good thing – even though that name sucked. I hated being Michael McGillicutty and having to tell people my name. It was embarrassing. Even signing that five-syllable name is ridiculous. I always wanted to be “me” in the long run.
JM: Who are the guys, now, that offer up the most advice about your matches and your promos?
CA: Paul Heyman. Just being with that guy – listening to him before the show and after the show, riding up and down the roads with him between events. He has so much information. He’s like a library – he’s got stories, and if you have questions, he has answers. He is the best tool I’ve got right now. When I am off the road – my grandfather. I talk to him two or three days a week. He has critiques of my work. He is super old-school, which I have to take into consideration, but he is a beast.
JM: You were on NXT Season 2. Being in that kind of environment, being introduced to the world in this reality show of sorts – what are some lessons you learned from that whole experience?
CA: NXT was a nightmare. I was really excited to be brought up – I knew I was ready. I saw what those kids had to go through in season one – getting the microphone shoved in your face and doing these stupid challenges. I was kind of bummed, but at least I was being brought up. Then they told me my name was Michael McGillicutty (and) it broke my heart. You never knew exactly what was going on. They said, “OK, you guys have a match, a contest – here’s the microphone.” It was a surprise every single week. You had to stay on your toes – it was scary ‘cause everyone in the back and everyone at home were watching. I think being involved in that atmosphere – it kind of toughens you up. I feel, now, that I am prepared for anything.

Antonio Cesaro impresses on house shows!

Fan reports for those who has been on WWE's houseshows lately states that Antonio Cesaro has "won the fans over" after great 20 min + matches.

Apparently his performances in matches with Sheamus and others has made him very popular on houseshows. In Japan it was reported that Cesaro won over the fans in his impressive 24 minute showdown with Sheamus. Apparently Sheamus won the match, but Cesaro won over the crowd.

This has not been going on "unnoticed backstage, since it has been going on for a while on live shows. Apparently this is one of the reasons why Cesaro has been granted with Zeb Colter as a manager, and lately he has been billed as a power-house heel. He is currently on a winning streak both on Raw and Smackdown.

This is off course great news for Cesaro fans, and personally I think that he has the potential to become a huge star in WWE!

Updated news on why McMahon's are back on television!

Link from: www.24wrestling.com:

- We noted earlier this week that it was the McMahon family who came up with the current power struggle storyline that we’ve been seeing on WWE TV, and that’s reportedly going through WrestleMania XXX. The recent report that the USA Network wanted more of the McMahons on TV isn’t the case.

There have been times in the past that USA wanted Vince back on TV, thinking he helps ratings and usually he does, but his most recent return has not provided a ratings boost. The main reason the McMahons are back on TV right now is because they booked themselves into the top WrestleMania XXX storyline.

WWE going for a triple treat main-event at Wrestlemania 30?

Earlier today we posted an article about the ongoing McMahon storyline. As we said in the article, plans are for the story to end at Wrestlemania 30 with a big match. Apparently this match will include the WWE-championship in a triple treat match.

As mentioned in the article, Stephanie McMahon was caught in the middle of the "heat" between Vince and Triple H. Lately she has also been giving orders to Vicky Guerrero, just like Vince and HHH has done for a couple of months now. So Stephanie will also be included in this feud/storyline that will go on until Wrestlemania 30.

It seams like the story will end with the fact that Vince, Stephanie and Triple H will choose one wrestler each that will compete in a triple treat match. Most likely it will be for the WWE-championship to. If for example Vince's wrestler wins the match, the wrestler will be crowned champion and Vince will get all the power within WWE, while the two others will lose their "power backstage". Of course this is just a part of the storyline. In real life it is Vince McMahon who has the final word on everything! The same goes to HHH and Stephanie. If one of their wrestlers wins the match, they will get all the "on screen power".

Its been discussed that the triple-treat match will include Cm Punk, John Cena and The Rock. All of them are considered to be top-stars within WWE. If this happens, it will be the first main-event Cm Punk ever enters at Wrestlemania!

If these backstage rumors are true, I will say that this could end up being a great storyline after all. Even though Cena and Rock then will be involved in their third main-event at Wrestlemania in a row, everyone will be happy to see Cm Punk be a part of the main-event at Wrestlemania.

Are you happy about this possibly main-event at Wrestlemania 30? Will you pay to see it?

Officials backstage are pushing for Daniel Bryan to win the WWE-championship!

The summers in WWE is considered to be just as important as Wrestlemania-time now a days. The second biggest PPV within WWE is Summerslam, which always ends the summer storylines at the end of August each year. This year WWE has gone all in for the summer. They have started a feud with Cm Punk vs Brock Lesnar, and they have also signed Rob Van Dam. But another hot topic lately has been Daniel Bryan. As mentioned in an article on this page a couple of weeks ago, officials have huge plans for Bryan this summer.

It seams like a sure lock that Bryan will face John Cena for the title at Summerslam. But not only is he going to be involved in a feud against the companies top-dog, it also seams like he will end up with the WWE-title to. If it happens at Summerslam is though to say, but apparently there are a lot of officials backstage that are pushing for Bryan to win against Cena at Summerslam.

Cm Punk got his deserved push the exact same way only two years ago. He is now considered to be the second biggest guy within WWE, only behind Cena.

There are many people backstage that believes Bryan has what it takes to take over the "top-dog" spot from Cena. But the only way he would be able to do that is by getting a clean win over the champion.

Hopefully WWE doesn't find out that they will turn Bryan heel again, just like they have done with a lot of Cena's opponents lately. Bryan is best as a face, particularly because he has one of the biggest "fan-bases" behind him to. A Bryan heel turn will not be good for the company, because a majority of the fans will cheer for him even though he is supposed to be the "bad guy".

If Vince believes in Bryan, you can expect this summer to be remember for many years. Will Daniel Bryan be the next number one guy within WWE? I'l guess we will have to wait until Summerslam to find out.

WWE seams to be on fire now a days, which is good for business and for us fans!

WWE is planning to end the McMahon storyline at Wrestlemania 30!

The last couple of months Triple H and Vince McMahon has been involved in a story-line with each other. It all started the night after Extreme Rules, when HHH competed even though he was not medically cleared by the doctors. Of course this was just a part of the story (HHH was fine in real life). The week after, Vince McMahon held a promo where he and Stephanie told us that Triple H would not be allowed to compete anymore, because they feared for his health. Triple H and Vince started to build tension between each other the same night, while Stephanie was caught in the middle of it all.

Over the past two months this story has developed in to a "corporate" matter between Vince and HHH. Vince is playing the obvious heel in this story who only thinks of "gaining money" for his company, while Triple H plays the fan-favorite that wants to deliver a solid show for the fans every night.

Even though this has not been a great story-line yet because of the same old backstage segments, it seams like WWE has big plans for this story. Apparently the tension between Triple H and Vince will boil over at one point this summer, and it will set up some kind of story for them towards Wrestlemania. WWE is planning to go all out with this story, which means we can expect something great to happen in the near future.

But there is no words yet what their plans are for an actual Wrestlemania match. Vince is to old to wrestle, so most likely HHH will go against one of Vince's "big-puppets" at Wrestlemania 30.

Tune in for more about this case later this week when we find out more.

Sting rumored to closing in on signing with WWE!

According to TMZ, WWE is confident that they will sign Sting after his contract expires with TNA (In about 5 months). There are apparently a reason why WWE showed vignettes of Sting on Raw this Monday. But time will show if "The Icon" will leave TNA for WWE, or if this once again is just a false rumor.

This rumor has also started another rumor. "WWE is keen on signing Sting so he can face of with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30", is another quote from the net. Apparently TMZ uses safe "sources" within the walls of WWE.

The Usos to recieve a big push?

Rumors has it that Jimmy and Jey Uso are next in line for the tag-team titles. Apparently people backstage have been noticing their great connection with the crowd. The Usos has always been beloved fans favorites, but lately they have finally been pushed up in the tag-team division again.

Rumors also has it that WWE is looking for a tag-team that can replace Team Hell No. Jimmy and Jey are considered to be the team that can take over the spot as the "top-face" tag team within WWE. Triple H has also been pushing on the fact that WWE continues to develop their tag-team scene, which is great news for the likes of the current tag-teams within WWE.

Just the past couple of weeks tag-teams such as PTP and The Usos has been in some big storylines or matches. PTP was involved with a short feud against "The Heyman" stable!

We will update you further when we know more about this topic. But expect The Usos to continue their feud with The Shield for a while.

Brock Lesnar scheduled to return on first Raw after Money In The Bank!

Great news. Apparently Brock Lesnar will make his return to WWE on Raw the night after Money In The Bank. Reports says that Lesnar will return to start the promoting before his match against Cm Punk at Summerslam in August. He will most likely appear at 3 or 4 Raw's before Summerslam.

After Lesnar returned last year he has been working limited dates. His deal covers 4 or 4 ppv's pr year and around 15 to 20 appearances on Raw pr year. This means that Lesnar has limited time to build his matches. But happily enough he has Paul Heyman on his side, which usually does all the talking for Lesnar anyway.

It is also reported that WWE is planning a big angle between Lesnar and Punk when they face of for the first time since Lesnar lay'd out Punk with an F5.

We will keep you updated on this case, so tune in latter this week for more news!

The best and worst from Raw this week!

Sadly enough we do not have time to write recaps of Raw and Smackdown like we used to do. But analyzing the show and expressing our opinion is something we have time for. Once again Raw did not live up to the same standard that was set two weeks ago, coming out of Payback. But this was still a decent and entertaining show with a pretty solid live-crowd.

But what was good and what was bad with this Raw? Here are my top 3 list with "the best and the worst" from Raw:

The Worst!

3) To much time-fillers and backstage segments!
The best way to make wrestling promotion entertaining is by delivering promos, brawls, matches and shocking moments without slowing the pace down. The Raw after Payback managed to do that. Fans was electrified and excited all night long because of all the solid matches and segments that was delivered. There were only a couple of vignettes and time-fillers during the entire show, which meant that the live-crowd never got time to "cool down". If you want a show to succeed you need to get the fans on fire! The overall product is so much better then, and its good for ratings.

But sadly enough this Raw had to many time-fillers and backstage segments. When you got in to the "mode" and had your eyes locked on the TV, a time-filler or backstage segment appeared and made you lose your interest towards what was happening. The time-fillers and a lot of the backstage segments last night was kind of annoying! This is the bad thing about having a 3-hour show instead of a two hour show.

So please WWE, take more time to write the scripts. Make all of the hours count, and start putting your superstars in meaningful feuds. With three hours of Raw pr week, there should be plenty of time to build between 5 to 10 feuds, instead of wasting our time with meaningless "squashing" matches and backstage segments as time-fillers.

2) The McMahon's storyline!
In the beginning I really loved the "thought" of a possible "corporation feud" between Hunter and Vince. But WWE has done nothing to make us invest in this "feud" or whatever it is. For 5 weeks now they having been doing the exact same backstage segment to hype this feud. First HHH gives Vicky some orders and tips on how to run the show. Then Vince comes in and tells Vicky to do the opposite of what HHH said. Then Stephanie McMahon enters the scene later on as the "confused" lady stuck in the middle of their feud.

If WWE doesn't start building this so called feud towards something "big", a lot of us fans will get sick of the same backstage "mumbo jumbo" segment week in and week out. Vince knows everything about making a feud entertaining, now its about damn time that he makes his own feud at least a bit entertaining and meaningful.

1) The Cm Punk and Paul Heyman angle!
Don't get me wrong. I also think that a possible Cm Punk vs Brock Lesnar (W/Paul Heyman) should be billed slowly and over a longer time period. But last night it felt wrong and badly planned to me. I still think that down the line this will be the most epic feud of the year, but they can't continue on this road.

First of all. Cm Punk is gonna be a part of the WWE-ladder match at MITB. His focus should be there and not towards Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar at the moment. He buried the hatchet with Heyman last week and showed Heyman that he still trusts in him. This should have been it! They should have let Punk take his focus over to the ladder match at the moment.

Than at Money In The Bank when Punk's focus was on the ladder match, Paul Heyman should have come back to the picture. Heyman could stab Punk in the back during the match, which would set up the storyline for Punk and Lesnar.

Because at the moment Punk is stuck in the middle of two story-lines. They have a lot of time to continue the Punk and Heyman angle, so they should not have rushed it like last night!

But I still think this feud will explode down the line, but I did not like what they were doing last night.

The Best!

3) John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio!
This was simply said a fantastical performance by both men. Cena proved for the 999 999 time why he is the top-dog of this business. He is great on the mic (when he is serious) and he is a great performer. Everything from the Cena crossbody to all those submission counters made this match so good. The fans was in on it to! The ending was great to, because it made both superstars look strong after the match was over.

2) The build up towards the WWE-ladder match!
The show opened with a solid segment which featured every superstar competing in the MITB ladder match for the WWE-contract. Rob Van Dam was the only on who did not appear, but Punk mentioned him when he was on the mic. This segment was solid, and it helped building the match!

At this point I am actually not sure who is going to win. Personally I think its going to be either Bryan, Van Dam or Punk who wins the match. But who knows? This is actually the first time in a long time that I have no idea of what WWE has planned for us. That makes me excited, which means WWE has done something right.

1) Dolph Ziggler's face-run!
Ziggler is getting hotter and hotter every day now. His performance last night was simply amazing, and once again fans chanted their guts out for him. He is not the usual type of face to, which makes this so entertaining! He is still cocky and arrogant, but in "playful" kind of way now. He also showed another way to take out the 3MB by ducking their punches and letting them pound each other. Ziggler, The Wyatt's and Bryan is the two hottest things within the WWE-universe at the moment, and hopefully Ziggler will get his breakthrough this summer!

He deserves it!

My thoughts on the money in the bank ladder-match (For the WWE-title)

I thought I would write a quick article about the ladder-match for the WWE-briefcase.

I am a big fan of the match because I am a big fan of latter matches. Especially the TLC tag team matches. I also like the money in the bank match a lot, but there is a few things I don't like about the build up before this special ppv. Here is some things that I think WWE could do to make it just a little bit better and more meaningful.

1. The number of participants in the match

I thought I would talk a little bit about this because it seems like WWE is going from 6 to 7 participants. They even had 8 wrestlers in the match previously. I don't know why they keep changing that because I think all the best money in the bank matches has had 6 wrestlers in it and I also think more than 6 is to much in my opinion. Six men is not to few or not to many. It also gives everybody an opportunity to shine! With 7 or more participants it will be hard to get in on all the action.

2. How wrestlers gets a spot for the match

I think that the superstars should have to earn their way into the match. It should have been 7 sinlges matches on raw. 14 superstars could have participated in a "random" drawing. The 7 winners could have earned their spot in the match. That way wrestlers aren't just put in the match and also it could make the month before the Money In The Bank PPV more interesting both on Raw and Smackdown. Because then you would have 7 meaningful matches on the Raw and Smackdown card. This could have been good for ratings to, because more people would tune in to see who would win their matches and earn their spot at the ppv.

3. Wrestlers that are put into the match.

One thing I don't like about the match is almost every year WWE seems to put big names and former WWE and world champions in the WWE title money in the bank match. I don't mind if WWE puts like 3 fomer champions in the match but why do all 7 have to be former champions? I think that WWE should really worry about getting new main event talents, and I think the money in the bank match ladder match is a great way to elevate a superstar from the mid-card to the main event scene. I really like the Smackdown money in the bank match this year because it is all people that haven't been WHC or WWE champion before.

Tell us by leaving a comment what you think about the money in the bank match and if you think that there is any ways to make it better.
